We asked our Operations Director and our Consultancy Director what aspect of sustainability within CGS they were most proud of.

Dan Taylor, our Operations Director said ... “I'm proud that we run a modern fleet of vehicles and plant meaning that the vast majority of their emissions class is as good as it can currently be. Our fleet cover a lot of miles, so this has a big impact. With technology constantly improving, our next step is to revisit the use of electric power tools such as brush cutters, leaf blowers, hedge cutters and chainsaws. We have previously tried this equipment, but at the time it didn't give us the trigger times required. We will also look to introduce EV/Hybrid vehicles into the fleet where practical.”

Martin Osman, our Consultancy Director said ... "We’re constantly striving to reduce our impact on the natural world in all that we do, in car sharing, reduced trips, reduction in waste production, ethical purchasing and trying to enhance biodiversity. I’m most proud of the way in which the team embrace sustainability in all their professional actions and thinking. It makes a difference working with like-minded people. As we move further into 2024, we’re looking at where the advances in technology, remote sensing and scanning can help in reducing our industrial footprint, improve our data gathering and understanding of the natural world. Whilst also reducing the health and safety risks to our consultants and surveyors.”
