Mechanised arb is safer, better for the environment and more efficient for clients
Published on 12 Dec 2023

Over the past year, we’ve been increasing our mechanised arboriculture capabilities.

Mechanised arboriculture is where machines undertake the work rather than people on the ground or carrying out aerial operations. It has numerous benefits, including:

🌿 It's safer for our teams, as people on the ground are removed from the risk zones.

🌿 We can cut down a more comprehensive range of trees, including brittle trees infected with ash dieback, which would otherwise be unsafe for climbers.

🌿 Using mechanised arb teams cuts carbon emissions for a project as fewer people are involved in the works, so fewer vehicles are travelling to and from site.

🌿 It's quicker and more efficient than cutting down trees by hand, allowing us to cover more ground in one shift.

We're looking to use mechanised arb on more of our works next year as more clients expect their contractors to put the environment at the forefront of their operations.
