We love Autumn! The gorgeous colours! The amazing displays of nature all around. We feel so privileged to be able to spend so much of our working life outside.

Last week, Carol Castlo our Arboricultural Manager was out on the A303 near Stonehenge carrying out tree condition surveys from Honiton to Parkhouse Cross as part of an ongoing project in the South West.

The day started off very foggy which meant all the cobwebs were very noticeable with the dew hanging off them like jewels. When the sun came out it highlighted all of the autumn colours, especially on red euonymus trees.

This year we have picked up an enormous amount of defective trees, mainly due to the drought conditions earlier in the summer which has made ash dieback worse than usual.

Our tree surveys finish this week and then we’ll be writing up our reports, recommendations and tree management plans for our client.
