Adding value to the communities in which we live and work is something we genuinely take pride in.

Not only that, but being able to work collaboratively with our clients, sister companies and teams means it's a day well spent.

Our Curdridge team, led by Ryan McCormick our Contract Supervisor, has been working alongside Maria Smith-King our Chevron Group Social Value Manager, members from the Chevron Traffic Management Thatcham depot, National Highways and Kier to create a sensory garden for a Primary School in Basingstoke.

The project started last year with Chevron Green Services clearing the vegetation from an area on the grounds. Then we were joined by the support teams from NH, CTM and Kier who moved in to lay matting and create bark pathways.

We're about halfway through the project now, next steps are creating a forest walk where the children can identify the tree species, building living benches and the planting of a sensory garden. Of course, no nature project would be complete without one of our Ecospheres which is arriving in the next phase of the work too.
