CGC check for bat roosts before bridge repairs can go ahead

Did you know bats play an essential part in our ecosystem? 🦇

In the UK, they keep our insect population in check. In other countries, bats also play a crucial role in pollination.

Due to a considerable decline in recent years, bats are a protected species. Therefore, before any building work can occur, Preliminary Roost Assessments have to be carried out to check for the presence of bats.

Last week our Environmental Technician, Amanda Talbert and Environmental Consultant, Sophie Field, were working on Preliminary Roost Assessments on bridges on the M27 before some planned repair work.
